At 10 years old, I could weld, paint, and dream up crazy bicycle builds. By 14, I was building my first hot rod. Always artistic, I would pay close attention to the sign painters and pinstripers that my dad would hire to come in the shop. I watched as they applied their craft to customers rides or put the finishing touch to one of dad's creations. Over time, I started trying my hand at custom paint, fabrication, and pinstriping. Along the way, I was able to obtain knowledge and skills from a few different mentors.

Fast forward to1988 with high school and trade school behind me, it was time to go live. Mr. Chip's has been legit since 1988 and what a ride it has been. Over the years, I have had the opportunity to hone my skills, paint some wild things, and work for some wonderful people. My work has been published in magazines, won many best paint awards and can be seen around the country. I am proud to say kustom kulture is alive and well. Restoration of old things is still cool and Mr. Chip's is here to help. I have been living the Kustom Kulture life style for 35 plus years. Paint runs through my veins and welding sparks brighten my dreams. I can often be seen at hot rod and motorcycle events throughout the country. Sometimes working other times just taking it all in.
